Tax Credits

The Economic Stimulus Bill passed into law on February 17, 2009 allows for incentives for homeowners who make qualified improvements to HVAC, water heating equipment and other energy related improvements to their primary residences.

The new tax credits are retroactive to 1/1/2009 and expire on 12/31/2010. The program allows for the homeowners to be able to claim tax credits equal to 30% of the installed cost up to $1,500.00, on qualifying HVAC equipment replacement. Some qualifying water source heating installations qualify for 30% of the total installed cost.

If you are a homeowner, we encourage you to consult with a tax professional for complete information regarding tax credits.
